Xenobiology protocol requires you to assign the specimen a phonetic identifier. The organism appears to respond to small linguistic clusters from its primitive language structures.
Name your human specimen:
The Sol-3 organism is fragile and needs constant maintenance, new caretaker. Keep an eye on its stat bars; hunger, thirst, and rest on the left rail; health, happiness, and cleanliness on the right. Use the action cards on either side to feed, hydrate, entertain, and clean it. Let any of these slip too low for too long and you will have a much sadder, sicker specimen on your hands. Or, in extreme cases, no specimen at all.
Yes, it has feelings. Treat your specimen well and trust rises. Be cruel and fear rises. High trust means better crafted output and a calmer pet. High fear means refusals, panic, and a specimen that hides from you. We recommend trust. It is also more profitable.
We have observed that crafts are one of the human's favorite pastimes, and we need credits, so let's put them to work for us. Press CRAFT when the specimen is content to start a minigame: painting, macramé, circuit-building, sculpture, poetry, woodworking, or friendship bracelets. Better performance equals more credits when you sell the result. Some crafts produce wearables for the specimen as well — keep an eye out for surprises.
The buttons in the top-left of the habitat open the Event Log, the Inventory (sell crafted items, equip wardrobe), and the Mind drawer (memories and personality readout).
Available in the SHOP at considerable cost. Wipes traumatic memories, resetting fear and anger. The specimen will feel briefly disoriented. Use sparingly, or do not ... we don't tell you how to run your specimen.
The xeno-market offers two replacement options. All memories of you will, of course, be wiped clean either way.
You have produced a drink that will cause cellular mutation in the recipient.
Effects are unpredictable. Would you like to administer it to your specimen?
Administering this mutagen will permanently alter the DNA of your specimen. Effects cannot be undone except by further mutation.
This procedure costs 100¢.
You are about to enter a wormhole that will take you backward through the temporal stream.
All traces of this reality — your specimen, your credits, your accumulated xenological data — will be unwritten from the cosmic record. There is no return.
